What was accomplished:
Varsity Baseball Field created with new infield, turf, dugouts, lights,
scoreboard, seating and with handicapped accessible stands.
We are currently finalizing plans for a new batting cage.
New Multi Purpose Turf Field
for Football and Soccer (First ever in Belleville)
Upgraded Municipal Stadium Stands and
Complex.
New Police Headquarters Communication Center and enhanced integrated reverse
911 system to make our community safer and more secure.
New Public Safety Communications Network (Police, Fire and DPW)
for quicker response times for our
residents requests for service.
Drainage upgrades to decrease flooding on Continental Avenue, Riverdale Avenue, Suzanne Court, and Main Street.
Third River Project helped curtail flooding in some
areas. New initiatives to reduce flooding on the bottom of Fairway Avenue
are being investigated.
Camp Carragher
cleaned and updated after years of neglect.
9/11 Park
completed
Guard Rails on Liberty and Joralemon St. to protect homeowners and pedestrian. Blinking caution signs to slow down traffic on Joralemon.
Goal: Responsible and Reasonable Development
What was accomplished:
Negotiated with the Essex Park
developers to reduce building density from 25 Units down to 17 Units per
acre. Development is now complete.
Saved Historic Soho Hospital Building
which is currently being renovated and repurposed for mid to high end apartments. After
years of neglect, it is back on the tax rolls.
New Motorcycle Mall
built and now open on Washington Avenue.
New Walgreens
built
and open on Washington Avenue
Shoprite
is back to Belleville.

Services and Housing
What was accomplished:
Updated Senior Citizen Building;
New Bathrooms
Parking lot has been repaved and relined
Housing for Seniors Phase

new exercise programs for Seniors at the Senior Center

Cost effective Municipal Spending with higher quality Municipal Services
What was accomplished:
Supported Residential Preference for Police Fire and DPW Jobs
Spearheaded a recycling
initiatives to reduce the cost of garbage removal.
New Energy Efficient Lighting for Washington Avenue not only saves us money but
creates a safer more aesthetically pleasing environment for residents and
shoppers.
Worked on Human Resource Committee implementing the first ever Employee Manual
which included Drug Testing,
anti-discrimination and harassment policies. Saving thousands of dollars by
avoiding law suits.
Health Department and Finance Department Shared Services
saved Belleville hundreds of thousands of Dollars while giving our residents
better services.
New Website
with more services Online. Thereby allowing residents 24 hour a day access
to Township information without adding additional employees.
Online Payments just added in 2016
Championed Initial and Enhanced reverse 911 system
to keep our residents better
informed especially during emergency situations.
Supported Emergency Response Team (ERT) making
sure our community is safer and more secure during critical and emergency
events.
Implemented Community cultural events through the Summer Concerts, Movie
Nights, Plays, Christmas Tree Lighting and Three Kings Celebration along
with “Just a Party”
